The Griffiths: Chiang Mai, Thailand
For four days, two weeks in a row, 400 students from 31 different youth homes across Thailand came together last month for Prosperous Youth Foundation’s biggest ministry event of the year. From Chiang Mai, Thailand, Adam Griffith writes:
"This is our 11th camp, and we’ve been here long enough to know that it works. Every year, youth step out of their normal routines and encounter God in powerful ways—through biblical teaching, camp counselors who truly listen, and times of worship and prayer together. These moments lead many to make first-time decisions to follow Jesus and others to commit their lives to being Kingdom Workers.
I can look around and see the fruit of those past years. There are former campers and staff now serving all around the campus. One young man, who came to camp illiterate but felt called to ministry, made a decision here years ago. Even though Bible college seemed impossible at the time, he pursued it—and now he’s back in the kitchen every year stirring stew with the biggest spoon you’ve ever seen! Another former Thai staff member, now working in Australia, sent money yesterday to cover the camp counselors’ dinner—the same group she led years ago.
It’s such a blessing to still be here, to see the lasting impact of these camps, and to witness what God continues to do through them. None of this happens without your support. We simply couldn’t do it without you.”
