NO PRODUCE STAND THIS SUNDAY!
Due to a recent freeze impacting local produce and due to our High School Retreat out of town this weekend, there will be NO Produce Stand this Sunday.
Our produce stand will be back on Sunday, March 8!
Women Serving in Singlehood will be on Saturday, March 14 from 11am–1:30pm. This gathering is for women 18 and up who are single, divorced, or widowed to come enjoy lunch, connect with other women, and hear an encouraging message from our guest speaker, Shari McMinn. This is an opportunity to build friendships, be refreshed, and be reminded of God’s purpose for your life. The cost is $10 per person and we’d love for you to invite a friend to join you.
STUDENT MINISTRY
LOCAL MISSION TRIP RECAP
This past weekend, several of our youth partnered with CityTakers at Veteran’s Park in Lehigh Acres to distribute groceries to people in need and provide a free hot dog and hamburger lunch. They played soccer and football with kids and had meaningful interactions with many families in the community. Thanks to your generous donations to our produce stand, we were able to serve lunch to over 300 people and cover the cost of our rental van. Thank you so much for your support!
Men of the church are invited to join us for a Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, March 7, at 8:30am! Come enjoy great food hot off the Blackstone grill, good conversation, and a time of fellowship together. Whether you’re new or have been here for years, this is a great opportunity to connect, build friendships, and start your Saturday together. Register and pay below. The cost is $10. We hope to see you there!
All middle school and high school students plus our young adults are invited to join us at the Everblades Game on Friday, March 6! Tickets are $18 per person, which is the cheapest you’ll find since this is a group rate! We will meet at New Hope at 6:15pm to carpool together OR you can meet us at the arena at 7:00pm. It is Barbie Night so make sure to wear pink or a Barbie-themed outfit! NOTE: There are only 30 tickets available. Please RSVP quickly so that we can purchase more tickets in a nearby row, if needed.
MISSIONS COLLECTION PROJECT: CANDY!
We’re collecting individually wrapped, non-chocolate candy for our Easter Egg Hunt-A-Trunk. We need 15,000 pieces of candy to make this event a success for everyone! Donation bags are available in the Lobby at New Hope and they can be filled and then dropped off now through March 22. Thank you for helping us create a fun and welcoming experience for our community!
ECHO
Guided by a passion for honoring God, ECHO's vision is to see dignity returned to farmers and God’s creation cared for around the world. Last month several staff and interns had the opportunity to travel to the Bahamas where they visited farms and learned from the communities there. They also met physical needs that came up such as helping repair a well pump for a single mother Haitian refugee beginning her own farming journey, building a raised garden bed at a local church, and demonstrated mulching coconuts to build soil for the essential Bahamian island crop. Each moment offered a tangible picture of how the ECHO network can open doors to real hope, practical strategies, and lasting relationships. Coming up on Saturday, March 14, ECHO will be hosting it’s Global Food and Farm Festival, an annual event where kids and adults can taste, touch, and explore their way around the world while learning about global hunger and the practical solutions that make a difference. ECHO has asked New Hope to fill in several volunteer spots to connect with the community and serve our ECHO friends. If you’d be willing to serve for a couple of hours in this way or would like more details about the opportunity, please let Rachel Frey know, rachel@newhopefortmyers.org. Join with us in prayer, that God would guide all the ECHO staff and global network to know His will in all they do and that they would know Him as their Sustainer.
