To honor God through sustainable hunger solutions

Lee County and the world

ECHO, a non-profit, inter-denominational, Christian organization located in North Fort Myers, is dedicated to providing agricultural solutions around the world. ECHO exists to equip people with agricultural resources and skills to reduce hunger and improve the lives of the poor.

ECHO Internship

ECHO’s Intern Program equips college graduates with the skills and practical experience needed to effectively assist small-scale farmers in developing countries. ECHO selects eight interns per year and the interns spend 14 months learning on ECHO’s Global Demonstration Farm in North Fort Myers.   The interns are then equipped so they can go to various parts of the world, helping communities through sustainable agriculture.

New Hope provides monthly funding for the internship program.

Ways to Volunteer

ECHO’s operations rely on volunteers. There are opportunities throughout ECHO, for volunteers, such as working as Docents, in the Seed Bank, in the Nursery, or helping in the ECHO Global Demonstration Farm alongside interns. There are also need for volunteers working inside on projects and for ECHO’s larger events such as the International Agriculture Conference and Global Food and Farm Festival.
