FGCU Concert at New Hope

The FGCU Chamber Singers, University Choir, and both Men’s and Women’s ensemble groups will be at New Hope this Sunday, February 18 at 3pm for an amazing concert of sacred and secular music. Students, parents, college patrons, and other from our community will be here for this time of music, so as a friendly church, we ask that you join us to welcome these music lovers to New Hope. A concert and the opportunity to minister to our neighbors…what could be better than this?! See you Sunday!

High School Retreat Recap

A group of 33 leaders and high school students participated in a dynamic retreat hosted by RUF (Reformed Student Ministries) in the Ocala area last weekend. Special emphasis was provided on helping high schoolers make the transition to finding a church and campus ministry as they head into college. This was the first time New Hope participated in this experience and the students already cannot wait to go back!

Tech Volunteers Needed!

If you are a little bit “techie” or would like to learn, our AV/Tech team could use your abilities during our worship services to frame shots for video livestreaming, balance sound, or even change slides for congregational singing. Even if you have never done this before, we can train you. It just takes a willing spirit and a commitment to serve our church family. This is a perfect opportunity to worship, hear God’s Word, and make a difference on a weekly (or monthly) basis. See Matt Phillips in the sound booth or email matt@newhopefortmyers.org for more details.

Thrive

A mom and two small children, with only a backpack for each, knew that hope was within reach if she could get her family to safety. Once at Thrive, she pursued school, obtained a job and enrolled her children in school. She says...

“God really has given me an understanding that I never thought I would have!! In each Bible plan or devotional I choose, He speaks to me when I feel the weakest. He puts the perfect words for me to realize that it’s not with my strength, but with His."

"Sometimes I get so anxious and want to do everything at once and fail to remember that He is always on time, never late... I feel like now He has me in the desert because it’s the way I can keep my focus on Him and Him only. He needed to put me here so that He can fulfill His purpose in my life.... and because my heart needed to be restored, my faith needed to be renewed. When the devil tells me that I haven’t accomplished anything, God tells me that I am closer and closer to Him each day.”
