As a ministry of New Hope Presbyterian Church, MOPS of Fort Myers is a network of women dedicated to the message that “mothering matters.” MOPS celebrates motherhood and desires to create an environment where mothers of all ages and backgrounds feel welcomed, supported, and enabled to build lasting relationships with others and with Christ. MOPS is designed to provide support through fellowship with other mothers, special programs and interaction with Mentor Moms. Meetings are designed to encourage, develop, and provide resources for moms with children from infancy through kindergarten.
Mentor Moms are an important aspect of this ministry. Experienced women meet with the MOPS moms to share life through discussion, encouragement, motherly guidance and spiritual mentoring. New Hope women volunteers are always needed to serve as Mentor Moms.
If you would like to get to know other mothers traveling your same journey, MOPS meets from September to May on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9:30am -noon in the Fellowship Hall. For more information, or if you’re interested in becoming involved as a Mentor Mom, call Pam at the church office at 239.274.1230 or email her.
MOPPETS—a service provided by New Hope’s Early Childhood Ministry—offers childcare while MOPS moms enjoy their meetings. Every child will be nurtured in a loving environment. They will be encouraged to play in a group setting and learn to be independent of their mothers. Each child will be guided in positive experiences with fun age-appropriate activities including lively Bible lessons, crafts, and games. A light snack is provided for the children.
