What do the world’s great choral/orchestral masterworks, a gospel quartet, a classical guitarist, a pianist/worship leader, an organ and two trumpets, a Sweet Adeline chorus, a world-class violin/cello/piano ensemble, a symphonic band, a harp and string ensemble and a patriotic/memorial concert all have in common? They have all been presented in concert here at New Hope since our inception three years ago.
What is the unifying principle behind such a diverse set of offerings? Excellence. Excellence of different sorts, admittedly, but excellence none the less. Sometimes it is the excellence of musical performance, sometimes it is the excellence of Christian testimony in a musical setting. Sometimes it is the excellence of God-centered worship, sometimes it is the excellence of creatures performing at an extremely high level who may or may not know the God in whom they live and move and have their being.
How do we finance these wonderful programs which New Hope Presbyterian is delighted to offer to the community at no charge? For those who are able and so inclined, you may support the series in the free will offerings taken at intermission, by mailing a check to New Hope marked New Hope Concert Series or by making an online gift. Gifts given online are securely processed and can be given by credit card or a bank draft.
