…experience life as it was meant to be
Are you looking for community? This is the place. New Hope’s Life Groups allow us to experience community, and life together, as it was meant to be. Life Groups meet regularly for fellowship, and a time of discussion and learning from recent sermons, or various bible/book/videos. Study materials vary from group to group depending on preferences.

What is a Life Group?
Life Groups are co-ed, small groups usually meeting in homes (but not exclusively) which encourage fellowship and service together, and nourish a feeling of belonging to the Body of Christ. Life Groups run throughout the calendar year. Some are seasonal for winter residents, or those who prefer meeting during the school year. Want to know a little more? What kinds of Life Groups are there?
- Life Groups are small (about 6-12 adults, depending on the group).
- They are designed to be eclectic… for everyone!
- Groups will gather on different days, at different times in order to accommodate the lives of real people.
- Some groups will be designated “child friendly” with appropriate care available.
- We look forward to matching seasoned wisdom with young adults so that our Life Groups will reflect New Hope’s greatest assets.
How will I be matched up with a Life Group?
The sign-up process will include basic demographic information with space available for specific needs (i.e. infant/toddler friendly, geographic meeting preference, day of the week, etc). Newcomers to our church will be blended into existing groups as soon as possible, so they can feel instantly connected to the family. Anyone can join at any time, so there’s no need to feel you’ve missed a start date.
Is there homework required? I’m crazy busy these days.
This is the easy part! If your Life Group is a sermon-based study, all you need to do is listen to the Sunday sermon and show up on your meeting day to discuss its application in your life. We will dig a bit deeper into the scriptures referenced and share how God speaks to us through His Word. Discussion questions will be posted online before the sermon, so if you want to prep ahead of time, you can, but your host leader will take care of that if you don’t have time. Groups that prefer to study other materials may have reading requirements.
I missed church on Sunday. Can I still attend my Life Group?
Yes! If you missed the service, the sermon is usually available online by Tuesday afternoon. It can be played on your computer, or downloaded to any mp3 player. CD’s are also available at the church office. Call ahead, and we set one aside with your name on it. Non-sermon based groups do not require church attendance.
Can I host a Life Group at my home?
Yes! Please email Brad Starner or phone 239.274.1230 with the location, time, and day of the week you’d like to meet. Life Groups currently meet in many locations throughout the Lee County/Fort Myers area.
