From left: Vicki Bower, Anne Campbell, Sue Laird, Jan Biddulph, Laura Head, Karen Hayes, Barb Griffith and Claire Ficker Welcome to New Hope and to the Women in Ministry web page. Our hope is that each woman in the New Hope family will find a place to belong, to minister to each other, and to reach out to those in our church and our community.

Our goal is to provide places for you to grow in your own spiritual life and move toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this by providing various activities, events and opportunities to grow through Bible study, fellowship and service. Our ministries to women include:

Please Click On Programs for More details on each ministry.
Or contact Jeannie McGalliard, Director of WIM, through the church office at 274-1230.

In addition to these ongoing ministries, we plan an annual over-night retreat for women of all ages which provides an opportunity away from the everyday routine to focus on spiritual refreshment and to become better acquainted with other New Hope women.  Dates have been set for September 17-19th 2010. Watch for upcoming details.

Through out the year we also schedule some opportunities for casual get-togethers for fun and fellowship. The goal is to provide an environment to help strengthen Christian friendships, and create a place where everyone can belong. They also offer the perfect opportunity to bring a friend who may not otherwise attend a church event. Watch you bulletin and web site for specific announcements regarding these activities.

Our hope is that each of you will find a place to grow through Bible study and encouragement of other women as you participate and serve here at New Hope.

Ephesians 1:15, 16: “For this reason , ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.  I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious father, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better.”

In His Service,

Jeannie McGalliard, Director, and the WIM Leadership Team

Women in Ministry: the EPC Print E-mail

Women of the EPC are a diverse group. We know the benefits and challenges of being a member of a large church. And we recognize the benefits and challenges of being a part of a much smaller one. Some appreciate the worship found in a traditional setting, while others freely lift their hands with the first chord of a praise chorus. We are young, a bit older, married, single, professionals, homemakers, moms, students, drink only sweet tea, have our clear preferences at Starbucks, known to be a Martha or a Mary and have been gifted in a variety of unique ways to follow God's call to us in the body of Christ. And above all, we have the same Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

EPC Women In Ministry serves local churches by developing women as servant leaders for the equipping of God's church and the enlarging of His kingdom. Such leaders are developed by encouraging, resourcing, equipping and mobilizing women to fully participate in God's work in their churches and the world.
