Restoration Project Print E-mail

Restoration is a 6-day experience that guides you through the rhythm of life in God’s new creation.  Think of it as a hybrid between a mission trip, a family reunion, and an amazing retreat. Each day at Restoration is split into thirds, leading you to ...

  • BE – take time to be with God (through Scripture, prayer, stillness)
  • DO – take time to serve with Jesus in this broken world
  • CELEBRATE – take time to enjoy life with others through God’s Spirit
Let’s be blunt – we want to drop you into a local community (this summer: New Orleans) where you can learn to follow Jesus so you can do the same thing back home in Fort Myers.  It’s all there – united to God, connected to each other, serving together.

The point? God is on a mission to restore all things – from individual lives, to families, to churches, to communities.  It’s time to catch the rhythm and learn to play your part!

Confirmation 2010 Print E-mail

What it is: Rooting in faith and building up. In our church and tradition, Confirmation is a time when teenagers sense God’s work in their life and a readiness to commit to faith in Jesus Christ and full participation in the life of our church. It’s a mix of middle/high school students from New Hope families and friends or student ministry program participants. The core of Confo is an overnight discipleship retreat (staffed by a team of leaders) that leads students through basic Christian beliefs and practice.

  • When it is: there are 4 parts to the 2-week process (and you must make all four).
  • April 23 (6:30pm) to April 25 (2:00pm) – the local Retreat Weekend (at a large home here in Fort Myers).
  • April 27, 6:30-8pm – Students attend the NHP Session Meeting (our church leaders)
  • May 1, 5-7pm – A special family picnic event (TBA).
  • May 2, 10:30-12:30pm – Confirmation service (at NHP’s 11:00am worship service).

In July, 18 high school students and 7 adults went from New Hope to Corozal Town, Belize, to spend the week working (and playing!). It was a great trip with a lot of sweat, laughter, service, and excitement.
