The mission of our student ministry is to make life-long disciples of Jesus who love God and love others.  Our core programs meet on Sunday mornings (Middle School: SoulSation and High School:Small Groups), Monday nights (High School:in.spire) and Wednesday evenings (Middle School:D-Teams).  We have a great team of leaders headed up by Andy and Krissy, and we aim to create exciting environments that engage our students with the truth we know in the person of Jesus Christ.  Interested in serving with us? Check it out!

September Mid-week Update Print E-mail

So what’s new this month? AT both Middle School D-Teams (Wednesdays) and High School Small Groups (Thursdays) – both 6:30-8pm, Fellowship Hall – we’re going big.  We are all drawn to great stories—whether that’s on the big screen, small screen, in a book or elsewhere. But we may be completely unaware of one simple truth—that our lives are a story as well, and our daily decisions shape the plot.  For many of us, the story we are scripting could be so much more if we let God write, or even rewrite, our story. It’s the story we were made for.

Session One: A Bigger Story - September 1 (ms) and 2 (hs)
Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, romantic, adventure, or mystery person - we all long for a great story.  Maybe the reason we yearn for something so big is because God made us that way. The things that pull us in are the things that make God’s story great.

Session Two: Lost in the Story - September 8 (ms) and 9 (hs)
So if we all long for God’s story, then how do we settle for so much less? How does our story get so off track? Sometimes we try to take control of our own story instead of allowing God the freedom and the power He deserves.

Session Three: Rewriting the Script September 15 (ms) and 16 (hs)
If you find yourself living in a lesser story, how do you begin to let God rewrite your story? You follow Him. You follow His lead.  Join Him, get on board and embrace everywhere His story just may take you.

Session Four: rewrite - September 22 (ms) and 23 (hs)
This week, we’ll take the chance to give students a longer space and time to do some thinking/writing/taking with others about their own story, where they are seeing God work within it, and where He might be taking them down the road!
