Director of Outreach & Missions 

Job Description

Through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are seeking a servant leader with a passion for Christ and a desire to lead others to live and learn His Gospel of grace and be part of His Kingdom presence to one another, in our community and around the world.


  • Ability to disciple, serve, and communicate the message of the gospel based on Christ’s grace
  • Baccalaureate degree, Bible College/Seminary training, or related field with a preferred master’s degree
  • Understand and support the Biblical mandate for outreach and missions
  • Prefer minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Be/become an active member of NHP
  • Endorse and support the purpose and core values of New Hope Presbyterian Church NHP and the tenets and beliefs of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church Denomination EPC


  • Lead and facilitate outreach opportunities and short-term mission trips both locally and abroad for all ages
  • Develop strategies, educate and mobilize teams of people from NHP to engage the un-churched through local outreach and global missions
  • Teach Biblical principles and strategy for evangelism, neighborly love, city renewal, and Christ’s mission to the nations  Create and identify new strategic partnerships to further the growth of God’s kingdom
  • Oversee, communicate and connect NHP with existing and new missionary partners
  • Work in partnership with the Senior Pastor, Session (elders) and Mission Council to both support and evaluate our existing mission partners and outreach efforts
  • Handle confidential information with wise and prayerful consideration including budget management and stewardship in a professional manner

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Gmail, Google Calendar, and social media platforms
  • Strong, leadership, organizational, and communication skills with multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to motivate and work with people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds with a high energy, outgoing, and joyful mannerThis is a full-time position with benefits and has a varied work schedule including Sundays and some evenings, weekends, Christian holidays, and will include overseas travel.

New Hope Presbyterian Church is a growing, multigenerational church which moved to a new location and campus in July 2016. The membership is around 1,100 with an average annual attendance of 720. We are committed to the worship of God offering both traditional and contemporary worship services.
