New Director of Missions

Daniel Meade is coming to us from Omaha, Nebraska, where he has been working with at-risk youth and families. Before that, he and his wife worked overseas in International schools. Daniel and Victoria met while both attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and were married in 2010. They have two boys – Cossie, age 2 and Fielding, who will celebrate his first birthday August 1. Daniel is so excited to join the family at New Hope and is still blown away that he gets to do his dream job. Daniel enjoys connecting with people over coffee or a meal, playing nerdy board games, taking family walks, reading, traveling and doing all the voices during story time. Despite moving to Florida, Daniel will still be unapologetically supporting the Cornhuskers!

Dream Center

The Fort Myers Dream Center exists to heal the hurting and restore hopes and dreams. This Christ-Centered Community Center is just starting to be developed near the NE corner of Veronica Shoemaker and MLK. New Hope is partnering with Next Level Church to help to make Fort Myers a better place. We are looking for helpers from New Hope to work alongside the Dream Center as volunteers. Questions? Want to Help? Please call New Hope Member Jim Mayer at 239.322.8656.

Our DR Missions Team

Our team of four adults and eight youth spent June 17-24 working together with a mission team from our sister church to present eight VBS programs in the southwest part of the Dominican Republic. Organized by Faith Partners International, the team evangelized in small churches from the inner city to remote rural areas. More than 1500 children, youth and adults attended these programs. On several occasions we had to hold the programs outside because the number of children attending exceeded the space available in the church!

This team was tested by long days, changing conditions from one VBS to the next, and scarce bathrooms; however, they worked together to bring God’s message to many children for the first time. Now the pastors will work to bring these children and their families back to church again and again.
