A huge thank you to the men and women who spent 10 weeks with the 5th grade class at Colonial Elementary School working with character mentoring! Almost every 5th grader was able to develop a bond with at least 2 adults from New Hope and learned about Endurance, Forgiveness, Humility, Initiative, Respect, Service, and Wisdom. If you are interested in being a Character Mentor at Colonial next school year, please contact Ken Seim or phone 612.462.1645.

This summer, 150 students from Russia, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Italy, Germany and China, will be traveling to our area to participate in an English Language Study. The students are coming here to improve their language skills while experiencing our culture and being a part of an American family. Staying with volunteer host families who open their hearts and homes for a few weeks to these excited youths (or teachers) is a vital aspect of this program. For just a few short weeks you can make an impact by showing the love of God with a student from another part of the world, share the gift of hospitality, breakdown cultural stereotypes and perhaps even affect international relations in the future. Your chance to plant seeds in the heart of a teen that the church would not otherwise be able to reach. If you are interested in hosting an international student this summer you can get more info at the EF table out on the patio or you can contact Olivia Muchmore at 239.357.2767 or Kim Muchmore at 239.340.5164.
