New Hope is privileged to host this performance of the Moody Symphonic Band on March 18, 2011 at 7:30 pm in our sanctuary.
Founded in 1970, the Moody Symphonic Band is comprised of qualified students from the Moody Bible Institute’s undergraduate school. Their repertoire includes band and orchestral concert music as well as hymn and gospel song arrangements of both traditional and contemporary styles. The Band ministers in various churches across the country twice a year, and has also toured internationally in Hong Kong, China, Central Europe, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Israel.
The Symphonic Band tours the United States twice each year and has occasional overseas tours. The group has traveled and ministered in Austria, China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Hungary, Norway, Romania and Sweden. Their most recent tour was to Israel in spring 2008.
